“I sent my picture in to have someone match my hair color. The Luxy's I got are lighter then my hair color which is unfortunate. It is noticeable that the colours are different when they're in my hair. I do like the length and everything else about the extensions though. I would recommend Luxy's.”

I'm sorry to hear that the set is a little lighter than your hair colour. The recommendations we give are based on the photos sent to us which may appear different than your actual hair colour. I'm sorry if what we recommend was not quite right.
As a friendly reminder, every set has a tester weft inside for you to compare to your hair to see if it's a good match, before deciding to keep it.
Good news is, since Luxy Hair extensions are made of 100% remy human hair, they can be coloured a darker shade by a professional hair colourist. saIf you do decide to get them dyed, we recommend that you get the hair colourist to test a one clip weft prior to dying the full set, to ensure that you're satisfied with the results.

“I bought my luxies a bit too early, I have a very short haircut and am in my first awkward stage growing it out... They look odd since my hair is so short, it's super obvious that they're clipped in (I knew that it was probably too soon but didn't really care). Nevertheless I am really excited about wearing them in a few months: The hair texture is impressively soft, the color isn't exactly right but definitely close enough, and I can tell that the clips will be very secure. I was worried that maybe he hair would feel coarse and creepy, but it doesn't! Really impressed with the product, especially considering the price point. Great value.”

I suggest that your hair be at least 6" long for better blended results. And even then, it's a good idea to have the set custom cut and blended by your hairdresser for an even more seamless blend.

“The color was SPOT ON! I wear them daily and other brands I have used, the clips have broken quickly. After 3 months of continuous wear, the clips are just now staying to wear and not broken. Got pretty tangled after the first wash but I used a coconut oil treatment and it has helped with that. So far, Luxy is the only brand that has held up to my standards. Shipping was much faster than any other site I have used also.”

“I was so hesitant to invest in such a large purchase on something i wasn't completely sold on. When my luxies' arrived the first thing i noticed was that the color was unmistakably the perfect shade for my hair and that was one of my biggest concerns. I have a shoulder length bob and being slightly inexpierenced in the extension applying world it is difficult to find a way to wear them to hide my real length which can only make it easier if i curl both my hair and the extensions. But the extensions don't hold a curl for very long and become stringy and clumped within only a couple of hours which can get aggravating. Other than this, its so far so good!”

I'm so glad to hear that your new Chestnut Brown Luxies are the perfect match to your hair. It is definitely more challenging to blend hair extensions with shorter hair. I suggest to have them cut a little shorter and blended to your haircut with layers (by your hairdresser) for a more natural blend. Please check out this video which shows this on the shorter hair 220g set model: bit.ly/luxythickness.
In regards to extensions not holding a curl, you can find some helpful tips in the follow blog post which I recommend you try: https://www.luxyhair.com/blogs/hair-blog/how-to-make-your-curls-last-longer-5-tips. To prevent them from clumping together and looking stringy, it is important to brush them often with a soft bristle brush starting from the ends and working your way up removing tangles. This will keep them soft, fluffy and tangle-free.
