“This is my first time ever buying extensions and felt like Luxy would be a pretty safe bet because of all the great reviews.
I just received my extensions in the mail today.
First off I noticed even the test strand looked like it had a lot of uneven (maybe broken) strands. Secondly it was very thin on the ends. A very obvious difference, but I figured this may be how all extensions are.
I also removed the test strand off the cardboard before I noticed it would void the return warranty.
Its really not in a good place to read easily since the extensions are attached to it and block a good portion of the writing.
Anyways I figured since I bought the 220g set maybe the thickness would build and it wouldn't look stringy on the ends.
Unfortunately that's not the case.
I bought them for the length but I guess I'll have them trimmed and use them for extra volume and to add some more brightness in my hair.
Its a little disappointing because all the videos on YouTube and photos on Instagram the extensions looked very full and beautiful.
Mine look nothing like the YouTube video of how to wear Luxy extensions that was posted 8 years ago.
Maybe quality has decreased from them, but its sad and I most likely won't purchase again.

“I had been eyeing these extensions for YEARS. I finally decided to treat myself to an early birthday gift and buy them. I have a blue black/midnight blue ombre with my shoulder length hair, so I had to pick up (a LOT) of hair dye and match my extensions to my hair color as best as possible. I also carefully trimmed the ends and added a little bit of layers to help them blend better. Since I have an undercut, I had to go higher up on my head and take extra time to place the extensions (dry shampoo, a round brush and blow dryer help with adding volume to the roots to cover the wefts). I'm loving this set and have gotten lots of compliments.”
