“I bought this for Christmas dinner dessert. I "tasted" it as I don't much care for pies, but my husband loves pies. I bought ice cream to top it with. You do NOT need ice cream or anything else. This pie is incredibly delicious. The top crust is almost like a cookie, it is flakey and delicious, the caramel on the pie is outstanding and the apples are crunchy and very good. I will order this again. Be warned it is incredibly rich and worth every single cent.”

The paper bag caught during baking by the crust and later by the caramel topping (which seemed to be added without much care). It looked sloppy to begin with and just got worse. But if you ignored the "rustic" visuals, it did taste great.”
