“I watched the segment on 60 minutes regarding Smith Island. During the segment they mentioned the Smith Island cake. Interested I ordered it. That being said the frosting was very good, the layers of the cake I thought seemed a little stale. The cake came well packaged and easy to defrost and serve.”
“This was a standard chocolate cake that I can get in the neighborhood. The Smith Island cake is a traditional multi layer cake that is like no other. I have been buying them every year from McKenzie and have loved them, but apparently they are now being sourced elsewhere. End to another great tradition I suppose.....”
