“The puff pastry around the salmon has changed from years past. The pastry a couple of years ago was like a package with a beautiful bow/leaf on the top. It made a gorgeous presentation for Christmas Dinner. Now it is just flat with herbs on top (not like the photo above) .... not impressive or attractive as the center piece dish. The taste is good but I really miss the flair.”
“I served this dish to both salmon lovers and salmon not-so-much fans. I followed all baking directions. Mostly I got lukewarm response. The individual portions were not as dramatice a presentation as a larger multi-portion would have been. For myself, I liked the idea better than the product......the Wellington seasoning and pastry seemed misplaced with the fish. Many salmon preparations (with cucumber sauce for example) are kinder to the taste of salmon. It was a worthwhile experiment, but I won't reorder.”
