“Beef Stew is a comfort food and this creates expectations which this product frankly doesn't meet. Portion size was small for two people (or too big for one). There was adequate meat, but the vegetable content was lacking. The stew sauce was bland and only mildly improved with additional seasoning. Given the cost, this product should have been much better. Will likely not order again.”
“This is a great go-to meal when I want something warm and satisfying. Tender beef, rich flavor. Would like a few more carrots & potatoes vs. pearl onions, but it's still an easy favorite at my house.”
“The beef stew was terrible. The potatoes were spongy (really!!). There was 1 carrot in the serving I prepared for dinner, ONE! This was from Mackenzie, but was labeled Chesapeake Bay. Mackenzie should drop them as a preparer. Frankly, Dinty Moore canned beef stew is better. For that terrible meal, I paid a lot more. Never again.”
“BOTH PACKS OF STEW HAD HOLES IN PLASTIC SO WHEN IT THAWED OUT ALL THE JUICES/SAUCE DRAINED OUT. HAD TO ADD SOME RED WINE AND WATER. STEW WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST . WILL NOT ORDER IT AGAIN.”
