“It was not advertised as apple pie. Therefore I was disappointed there was no discernible rhubarb. It was also much too soft, especially the bottom crust. When I called about the condition of the pie I was basically told to get lost. Not much likelihood that I will buy again. The catalogue however is beautiful. The food didn't cut the mustard. P”
“This pie is really very good and it has an absolutely wonderful, buttery crust. It's almost as good as my grandmother's perfect strawberry rhubarb pie. My only criticism is that the apples are totally unnecessary. Strawberries and a bit of sugar are enough to counter and balance the sourness of the rhubarb. Apples dilute the wonderful flavor combination of the two fruit stars of this pie.”
