“I ordered the beef empanadas for myself and as a Christmas gift for friends. No issues with shipping. Friends enjoyed them. But I thought they didn't have much flavor. My point of comparison is with homemade beef empanadas prepared by a neighbor.
The homemade ones were awesome...flaky pastry and moist filling.”
“The pastry was very dry and most of the pieces arrived with bits broken off. Those we salvaged were very tasty, but really too much pastry for the amount of filling. Probably won't buy again.”
“Nice flavor, but with some small foods in pastry, it seemed as though there was more pastry than filling. For that reason alone, I'll not order again. Dough was a little dry, so don't warm them for too long. Keep an eye on them so they don't dry further.”
“These little morsels were delicious. Unfortunately, about half the package was broken - many pieces had the pastry broken off the sides and some had the pastry broken over the top. However, they baked up well and were spicy and tasty and everyone enjoyed them. Just need better packing - perhaps each one in an individual 'nest'? Re being frozen, the dry ice was intact and the items were still frozen on arrival.”
