“We've made our own beef wellingtons and it is quite a production to get them right, with the duxelle, the pastry and the filet neding to be cooked to exactly the right temperature. These are so much easier to prepare and taste almost as good. Plus, the portion size is right. We did find the pastry on one of them got over browned in part and we should have checked to see if they needed tenting about 10 minutes before it was due to come out of the oven.”

This is a staple, but papa always gets stuck in the kitchen and not able to play games....this was just as delicious, and allowed for really fun memories with papa. The bottom was a bit soggy, but I think that was due to the pan...next order we will put them on a lifted pan so the bottom stays crisp.”
