“Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the Crown Roast. I did take it out of the freezer 96 hrs ahead to thaw left it in the box. 48 hrs out I opened the box and cut open packaging to let air circulate more. 24 hrs out I took it out of the box to and put stuffing on separate dish and roast on the rack. Unfortunately, after 2 hrs of cooking (it looked beautiful but it was still RAW inside. We put some additional cuts at the top of the roast, had to turn up the oven and let it cook for 20 more minutes, threw some salmon in the other oven so we had options. Turned out fine but was disappointed things did not time out as expected. Stuffing was fantastic - I did make some additional stuffing to ensure there was enough for everyone. Even with a raw crown roast, we still had a wonderful Christmas.”
“Though the roast was delicious the thawing and cooking instructions were way off. My roast sat in the fridge from a Wednesday ( arrival day) till Saturday. When unpackaged I could tell the center was still frozen. The cooking time was more than suggested two hours. We ended up cutting and searing in a cast iron skillet. Again meat flavor was delicious as was the stuffing.”
