“The cake lacked the freshness and moistness of a cake of this type (one that I have made from scratch a dozen or more times over the past 30 years). I was expecting nostalgia, not a fight with the past. I dumped the last part of the cake after a few days.”
“The quality and taste were very good...but the cake was disheveled when I opened the box. Some icing was broken and bits of crumbs on top of the cake spoiled the presentation. The box packaging was not bent or compromised so it must have been in the handling of the cake when packed into the box. Normally, Mackenzie packaging is top quality and if you had a 4-and-a-half stars it would be a better rating. I do purchase from Mackenzie because of their quality shipping and packaging.”
