“My mother-in-law wanted an Italian Rum Cake, for her (75th) birthday, from the North End of Boston. Being some 3000 miles away, that was a tall order to fill. But, McKenzie did it! It arrived on time and was still frozen. On the big day, she marvelled. Not only did it look great but the layers of Bavarian cream and chocolate coupled with moist cake and just the right amount of rum, were delicious! “The Italian Rum cake is not bad at all, it is a little too heavy. However, it is not really that bad for the holidays. Perhaps, it would be a good idea to offer a smaller version for smaller families.”
