“I received a bottle with a damaged lid, so I have to screw off the top every time I need to use the product. However, the product does a very good job of brightening up your skin tone. I can see a difference in just 1-2 applications. My only gripe is...I wonder if some of the ingredients at the end of the ingredient list are harmful chemicals. I know some preservatives are important to maintain the shelf life of the product. But I wonder if some can be reduced, if not eliminated. I looked up one of them "benzil benzoate" and it looks like it's used as an insect repellant/lice killer. I can tell there's a synthetic fragrance added to this product too. It's important for the product to smell nice, but I don't care to put harmful chemicals into my skin just because it smells better. So, I hope Makari can re-evalute its formula for this product and consider replacing something with more natural preservatives. On a more positive note...Love the combination of natural ingredients like licorice root extract, morus alba, and plenty of other antioxidants (vitamins A, E, C). As a nutritionist, I really appreciate the "food for skin" concept in this product. So, over all, good product! It will definitely give you results. But I question long-term usage because of some of the questionable preservatives at the end of the ingredient list. Yes, it will make your skin brighter and more even...but at what cost?”
