Antique Shop Framed With Stand Reviews

4.9 Rating 52 Reviews
I have just completed Antiques Shop, my 9th MBN painting . I found it to be a mix of hard and easy areas to paint, and a lot of fun to do. I DID run out of #6, a very light shade, and had to substitute #5 in completing the sign. This was the first painting where I used the paint brushes that are offered on the website separately- I found I was able to have more control painting some of the smaller areas, and they were more comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

This took me a long time but really pleased with the outcome! I wish it wasn’t quite so dark though, I now see why some people change some of the colors. I’m glad I ordered the extra paint because I did need it, especially the dark colors. It seemed like it took a couple of coats to cover a lot of the spaces. This is the first one I’ve done that is already framed and I do like it! I will be ordering my next one soon!

I am working on this for my father as a Father's day gift. I only wish these kits came with more paint so I didn't paint so thin to make sure I have enough of each color.

Just finished this today. I love old antiques and had a store back in the 90’s. Painting this picture brings back a lot of fun objects to mind that I wish I hadn’t sold! It was a country store with more primitive antiques. This had a little too much black for me but I still love it!

I’m sorry to say, I did not get the sharp definition of this painting. The bike especially looked muddied. I’m still not very good at this but it does relax me.

Came out so good! Had to go go back over some colors that were painting on light, but still was a lot of fun to do. I primered the canvas before painting and it helps the paint glide on more smoothly and evenly.
