“I painted for fun about 30 years ago but lost interest due to military moves and other distractions. When I saw an add on facebook, I got interested in maybe getting back into painting now that I am retired. I ordered a custom painting and while waiting, I decided to paint some freehand paintings that turned out great. I finally started the MBN and found it to be very enjoyable. I saw that some details were obscured so I used a bit of artistic license to correct a few things that did not look right but all in all it was a great way to get back into the hobby. I did not order the frame but would recommend it to anyone ready to purchase. I stretched the canvas myself before I started the painting.”
“I love the finished painting. You captured the lifelike look of my wife and her smile. The big problem I had was the color of her hair. When I filled in the colors, her hair was 4 shades of green. Her hair is gray to white. I did the best I could with the colors that came to capture her color. I guess your computer picked up a hint of green. I love looking at it and wishing she was still with me, she passed away in March. Her picture was the 6th one I have done this year and I'm working on my 7th.”

“I was impressed with the quality of this custom kit and enjoyed painting it. I had plenty of paint and the image itself looks good in the frame from a distance. I did not like that the colors were very green for half of the painting, when there is absolutely no green in the original photo. My dog has no green fur! I was hoping it would have utilized shades that were more natural and actually from the photograph. But my wife like´s it enough to hang it in our living room, and I quickly ordered three more kits to paint. I am hoping to learn with each one, and maybe will be brave enough to incorporate some techniques in the future to make them somewhat more realistic. The nice thing about acrylic is it can be painted over and changed.”
