“I use to paint, and have done several paintings for people over the years. It is an expensive hobby, and a messy one. Now that I have retired and moved to a smaller place, there is no room for anything like a studio, nor room period. So I gave all my equipment to an up and coming young painter and settles in and pass time by boat modeling, planes, etc.
I have purchased a couple of number paints and was quite satisfied, then saw that Masterpiece will transform any photo into a number paint. I sent in a photo, and was really happy with the result as was the friends I did it for, so sent another photo, this time of another friend's mother who had passed. Am still expecting that one and sure it will be more than satisfactory. I can exhibit my talents, and make people happy. Kudos, Masterpiece by Numbers.”

We gave one to my newly retired sister of the last sunset over the lake before they left their home for new adventures. They were amazed that you can send a picture of something that means so much and be able to paint it themselves.”
“The detail and color matching from the original are so impressive, it stopped me from giving this a 3-star review. The surface of the canvas is so shiny and slippery, it does not take paint well and needs to be prepped with gesso to make most (but not all) colors stay solid. Most colors need several coats just to cover the numbers, which drastically increases the paint time. A single coat just gives you a washed out watercolor look. I used a different company for a separate custom project and the canvas was hands-down superior (as are the canvases in $8 generic kits at craft stores). But the level of detail in the painting, and the colors chosen for my kit, are so, so, so much better in this kit that I have to bump up the rating up to 4 stars. It's frustrating to keep repainting the same things, but the final product will (almost) make it worth it.”
