“I got this painting to honor and remember my late husband who died in January of 2021. With covid we did not have the opportunity to have a memorial for him, so this was my way of letting go and saying goodbye. “I was very excited to get my first ever custom piece since I’ve been doing pbn since I was very young. MBN has a lot of great qualities and I enjoy their kits with the single exception of colors tend to be darker than I expected. In the case of this piece, not only were the colors darker but some were simply so far off I had to mix quite a few of my own. My wife’s blonde hair was differing shades of red. I get that only so many colors are included in a kit but I would think that the main subjects would be the focus of getting a good color pallete. I really do like this company’s products, I just wish they’d allow for more colors in these custom projects. All the colors seen in my wife’s hair were blended by me and the skin shades were significantly lightened to come closer to realistic.”
