“This is my first Masterpiece PBN, and what a difference from a company that ships from China (takes forever). Masterpiece paints flow so much better, too. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This garden scene is very intricate with TONS of tiny spaces (pencil-thin lines), so I have to use a very bright light and wear my readers over my contact lenses to see well enough. I'm about 2/3 done with it and it's turning out so lovely. Highly recommended, but don't do this one for your first PBN (too challenging).”
“Okay, I don’t usually leave reviews but here it goes. I think this painting is very nice and I enjoyed doing it. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because you get quite a bit of the colors you don’t use that much and not quite enough of those that you do need. Just a couple of suggestions:
1) The black printing of the image on the canvass is quite dark and you can see the lines and numbers more than I would like. Maybe the graphic could be printed in a different color where you could still see the numbers and outline.
2) If it is possible to send a jpg or gif of the picture so that one could review it as you are looking for numbers that would be very helpful. The printed version did come in handy but the numbers were still quite small and with the computer image you could enlarge the area you are working on as a reference tool.
3) It would be nice if you could indicate on your web page whether the painting is recommended for first time users i.e. beginner, intermediate, and experienced with regard to the detail of the painting.
Overall a positive experience and have already ordered another one. I like the packaging (tube) and do recommend buying their brushes.”
“Way to much detail for me and the numbers are very hard to read due to this. Needed to buy a very small brush and a magnifying glass to do the small areas.”
