“This was a gift and a project for my 80 year old dad. He saw how much fun and contentment it was for me each day when I was painting "Country Blessings" so now he is enjoying painting his own Masterpieceby numbers! Thank you!”
“Saw an ad and thought I would like to try a painting. Got the cabin pic and was pleased how easy and comfortable it was to paint. Liked it so much, I have ordered 4 more different pics. Completed two of them already and half done with third.”
“I am enjoying myself immensely!
I draw for a living, (technical designs and plans). I work with some of the greatest technical and creative professionals in our industry.
I noticed many of my friends do fun creative personal projects at home based off of the type of work that they do at work, just for themselves to relax and enjoy their off time.
I have never had a personal hobby myself, my friends advised me to take up a hobby involving artistic drawing or painting. So I tried it. It was a fun environment, but it did not really make me relax, it felt a little like my own personal work, not play.
My kids asked me to pick out one of your paint by numbers kits. I was so impressed with everything I received. It’s all such high quality. They were amazed at how professionally it was prepared.
I received some advice from my company artists about how to tackle the project, and I was off... I am having a blast. I usually paint next to kids while they are doing their home work. I am limited with time so I have neatly organized my project so I can begin painting in minutes.
I learned immediately that good lighting is key! I am 56 years old and my eyes required that I buy the strongest pair of “readers” that I could find at the local drugstore.
I can honestly say that my personal hobby time at home has improved my life. It’s very relaxing, and having conversations with my kids while they are doing their homework (both high school age) has now become routine.
At first holding a paint brush was very foreign to me (even after the previous attempts at painting). I find myself being more precise while holding it like a drafting pencil, like I used to do at work in the old days, (now we use Cad).
I’m not in a hurry, I seal the paints after each time I use them, sometimes if the paint gets a little thick, I’ll add a couple of drops of “flow improver” and mix it with my smallest palette knife and then it’s off to the races again.
Thank you for servi...”
