“This was, without a doubt, the toughest "Masterpiece By Numbers" painting I have done to date. Tough, for me at least, because of the minute detail throughout the majority of the print. I realized early on that this would be difficult for me, so I just went "slow and easy" until I finished. But finish it I did and am completely happy with the end product.
This picture is for my granddaughter. She lives in Maine and the picture of the cabin in the woods has a Maine flavor to it.
I love working with the canvas (versus the stretch material on a frame method). The quality of the paints is mostly excellent. Some paints are translucent to the point that it takes multiple layers to sufficiently cover the identifying numbers. Because I took my time with the painting (4 months) the paints all thickened to some degree. When this became a problem, I merely added a couple of drops of water and remixed the paint.
Bottom line for me was I thoroughly enjoyed doing this painting. My next couple of projects will not be as detailed and I look forward to doing them.”
“I loved doing this painting. It was a little tedious, but well worth it. Once it started coming together I could not wait to get it done. This was my second one from Masterpiece. My first one was the antique store. Which I absolutely love. I am now going to start my next one. Farmyard Chickens.”
“Great company with quick delivery and quality product. This particular PBN is one of my favorites as it has so much detail and has been so much fun to do.”
“I got this painting for my 96 yr old mom who has been painting for decades in oils but switched to acrylic paint by numbers. She thoroughly enjoyed doing this painting and actually finished it fairly quick. I ended up ordering her 3 more and she has one 3/4 done. Her eyes and hands are still very good and only occasionally has to use a hand magnifying glass.”
