“This was my fourth painting and I found it very challenging to complete. I easily invested well over 100 hours on it.The lighter colors usually needed to be applied more than once to cover up the lines and numbers.And some of the darker paints were somewhat gloppy, making it difficult to apply just the right amount of paint on the brush for a small area.
I also ran completely out of #4 , so was not able touch up those spaces.”

“I, like so many others lost my job due to Covid and was looking for something enjoyable to do to pass the time. After researching many paint by number companies, I decided to make my first purchase from Masterpiece by Numbers. I am so happy I did! Everything was packaged very well in a mailing tube and arrived in great shape. The canvases were high quality and did not have any creases in them. I did gesso the canvas with clear gesso before starting. I also purchased some miniature brushes, as some of the areas are teeny-tiny. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, if you are looking for instant gratification, this isn't it! LOL! It does take some patience and a fair amount of time to complete, but the end results are AMAZING!!
The paints were fresh and high quality. The paint colors are much more vibrant than shown on-line. They are really beautiful! I had read some of the reviews that stated some numbers showed through some of the paint colors, so I made a little chart of the colors on the side of the canvas and the numbers that showed through the more transparent paint colors, I covered with a white (water based) fine point paint pen before painting. There was also plenty of paint. I did not run out of any colors and I painted more than one coat of paint on most, if not all of the areas.
The customer support is responsive and answers emails in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the product and the customer service!
