“I’ve been a hat guy my whole life. And now that I shave my head, it’s important I found a hat that’s great for the beach / sweat. The hat looks and feels amazing!! But after wearing once for only an hour or so, I saw sweat stains on the outside brim of the hat. And also bleeding black ink on the inside brim. I know white hats are hard to keep clean, but for this price you would think it would take longer for this to happen. However I did get Passage hydro in black as well and have no issues. Overall great hats!”
“First off, let me just say that I love the hat in general. It looks super clean, nice design aesthetically, fits great. All that said, I think the addition of the hidden pocket in the brow is a mistake.
I'm a hat person, I love hats, I wear hats everyday. I got the Heather Light Blue Trenches Hydro hat as a work hat. I work outside most of the day and wanted something breathable, something that would handle any weather condition I throw at it. And the Trenches Hydro is a great hat, I love it. Buuuut, I've had it about a month now and noticed it was starting to smell. I thought, "that's weird, this hat is supposed to be for performance, why is it smelly after such a short period of time?" And I figured it out... The secret pocket collects perspiration and doesn't allow it to dry quickly enough, thus smelly hat. I have worn other hats to work, sweated a bunch in them (maybe more because they weren't as well vantilated, and didn't have this problem after months and months of use. I ended up cutting the secret pocket out, and sure enough, it stank. I understand the appeal of a secret pocket, I have several hats that have them, but I don't get why a hat oriented towards athletic performance needs a secret pocket.
So, in summary, great hat in general, but the secret pocket is more like a sweat pocket.”
“So I thought I was buying the perfect hat , no sweat ring and no sweat smell ,.. its done everything but ward off the sweat smell sadly . For $60 there’s other hats of similar material that essentially act the same and would cost half the price ex: Nike”
