“I purchased a this hat after some convincing from my wife, I am a hat nut so I have a lot of hats and go through them pretty frequently. I decided to buy black because I was pretty determined to test out the ability and claims they were making about the anti sweat marks. Now I'm sure some people will read this and think I was paid or given a hat to write a nice review, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I bought this like an average guy and I'd be reading this review like you are now, asking myself the same question, is it really worth 70+ bucks. Let me help you answer that, YES. I live in South Florida, I'm in my early 20's and I like to use and abuse my things. I purposely wore this hat doing everything to see how it would hold up. Wore it working out 5 days a week, yard work, working on my boat, and taking in the ocean fishing. I am also not a light sweater, lets just say in about an hour it would be equivalent to visiting the Niagara falls without a rain suit. In 2 months I can barely count on 1 hand how many times I've had literal had sweat dripping off the brim of this hat. This had has shown little to now sign of sweat marks, I have had to rinse it off twice due to collection of salt on the outside, but lets be real, that's due to being over drench in salt spray while being offshore in not so forgiving conditions. Once I flushed it out, hat looked brand new. Also, I have a very small head and was extremely please with the size Small and how well it fit.
Now to on to Melin as a company. I saw the rude comments on FB of people ripping them up and down on their price point of these hats, I decided to write a review much like I am now on my experience. To my surprise, Patty from Melin had found my order and called me to personally thank me for the kind words for their product. Not sure about you but I have never had a company call me to thank me for just expressing my feelings on a product I felt to be true to the claims they were making. They also took it a step further and since I gave the credit of my purchase to my wife, wanted to send her a hat as well. There are not many companies with a product that is everything they claim or with this type of service, so to the Melin team, THANK YOU. And to the person reading this, buy the damn hat. You'll go through 4 black regular hats from your local brewery before putting a dent into this bad boy.”

“I purchased this for a hiking/exercise/beat around hat, having had a flat-billed Melin Hydro already. But it looks so awesome I find myself wearing it out and about for fun. I love the camo prints. A little confused as to what size to get, maybe should have gone with a classic, but still an awesome and durable hat.”
