“What a great microscope! Its used to scan insect growing media for the presence of hatched worms (which are around 1mm in length) and to detect early infestations of unwanted mites!. The microscope is light, robust, was easy to assemble, well packaged fro transportation, and has a good light setting. The two light source illumination is excellent. I look forward to exploring use of the trinocular head and purchasing a camera as a next step. The microscope has a useful width of field and focus. While on uneven media surfaces the focus can somethimes require continuous adjustment, and this is where a lower magnification would be useful. However overall the samples are screened in very good time. The microscope is also easy to keep clean. The eye piece stalk twisting adjustment is also very easy to get used to, and as such we can screen lots of litter quickly. We will be considering this make of microscope when next we purchase.”
“It is a small microscope that can compete in bigger applications like 2D and 3D cell culture. The small foot prints make it portable and quality of optics is good.”
“Inital set up was very quick and easy. The scope provides excellent image quality and zoom.
We did experience an electrical issue with the stand which resulted in no power to the lights. Microscopes.com.au quickly organised a replacement stand for us.
While the optics are great I would have liked an integrated power switch for the whole unit as well eyepiece covers which could be used without removing the individual lenses.”
“Optico ASZ-400T Trinocular Stereo Zoom Microscope & LED Stand — Excellent optics, well designed, strong and easy to use — I purchased this stereo dissector microscope specifically to show my grandchildren the wonders of nature.”
