“Quality and user experience are both excellent for the price. The unit seems well-built and easy to use out of the box. Mechanical parts are well-greased and require a little working over to become smooth. I'd like a little greater range in the lighting control e.g. it doesn't get that bright or that dim (but not a deal breaker). Optics are sharp (for the price) and we were able to clearly see both basophils and neutrophils in a blood smear on a +50-year-old mounted slide. Again, for the purchase price ($399 inc delivery) I have zero complaints and have already had an excellent viewing session with my daughter (5) and Dad (80).”
