Hi Diane, hope you are liking the cream. It is a beautiful formula. We decided to put the creams in airless jars as it better protects the creams, which are high in active ingredients. Initially, it does requires some pumping to get the product out from the airless jar. Normally after several pumps, the cream comes out perfectly. Otherwise you can easily turn the lid clockwise to open, and to close turn it counter clockwise. This should also help the mechanism/pump in the airless jar to work flawlessly.
