“Had to return it as it emptied out into the holder. Seems to be a design flaw where brass meets plastic. Looked and wrote beautifully. I hope they redesign it. Staff at the Doncaster store made it a stress free refund. Many thanks.”
“Love writing with this pen in a Clairefontaine notebook using iroshizuku take-sumi ink. The fine nib lays down ink in lines 0.3-0.4mm wide. Have been using it for about a month and have no issues with the ink drying or false starts. The pen holder is nice and heavy and holds the pen well. Have not used it for extended witting periods but for general note-taking enjoy the weight of the brass. High quality of finish. Very happy with the purchase.”
“If you spend a lot of time writing in a particular place, this pen is perfect. Substantial yet light, beautiful out of the box, and developing a rich patina, and topped with an elegant and smooth nib. It’s a taking point, without being ostentatious and it’s amazing how quickly your hand develops the muscle memory to reach for the pen, ready to capture that thought in ink. One quirk to be wary of, given that it’s stored upright, make sure that you buy ink that has a high viscosity, otherwise, the ink simply runs into the base.”
