We are looking for a house and pet sitter (1 dog +1cat) for 6 weeks as per the detailed dates, inclusive.
We live in a tidy, highset Queenslander home with a large yard and pool. We are non-smokers and would appreciate the sitter/s being the same. We have space in the driveway or on the street in front (very wide suburban street) for a Caravan if that is how you're traveling :)
Our dog is a 13year old Border Collie mix who is well behaved and loves evening snuggles, attention and company in all forms. She responds well to her training commands still, although she is going a bit deaf so hand signals are also required sometimes. Both our animals are covered by all vaccinations and worming. If you are traveling with a pet we would need to do a meet before confirming, just to make sure our 2 are accepting. If a meet goes well though, sitter pets would be welcome as there is plenty of space.
Our cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and again, well behaved and litter trained. He may bring some bugs or lizards home as presents but never any birds or small rodents. He is a very active and self sufficient.
We prefer house sitters who are able to do some simple yard maintenance when we are away this long. Our lawn and some trees grow quickly so mowing lawns and some easy branch trimming would be greatly appreciated.
