We are 2 sisters Brenda and Jo who are energetic retirees and we are looking to travel around Australia in our motorhome! And as we have been pet/housesitting since early 2017 in many regions of Victoria and Queensland, we have realised that this new vocation of ours is a brilliant opportunity to combine seeing Australia with our love for animals, and taking care of them in their own environment as we know first hand how difficult it is to find the right carer/s to look after your pets and your home.
We have been homeowners for 32 years, until we decided for a life change. We love animals, we have had a variety of pets over many years!. We both have grown up children and growing grandchildren! Whom we love dearly.
And now we find we have time for ourselves and the enjoyment of helping out others.
During our experiences we have obtained unmeasureable skills and empathy towards the fur babies that we look after to ensure that we meet their needs, eg..diet, medication, comfort etc.
Previously we have house sat and looked after pets for our friends as well as family over the past 9 years and have enjoyed doing so.
We enjoy having time together and to ourselves as well as going for walks, spending time with family, pottering around the garden and caring for others. We fundraise for animal sanctuaries during November and December 'Adopt-a-furry ' at markets
We are also vegetarian, non smokers, reliable and trustworthy. As we worked with children, we both hold a current working with children check, and Brenda has held a first aid certificate for 14 years which will remain current.
We take pride in being clean and tidy sitters and loving the pets we care for as if they were our own, but respect the instructions of the owners, we also have our own transport.
