My name is James.
I am a mature, honest, responsible, semi-retired Aussie with over 6 years house and pet minding experience and over 65 5 star reviews.
I am Pfizer vaccinated, (including 6th Bivalent (ba.4/5) booster dose) and 2024 flu vaccinated.
I continue to abide by and practice all COVID 19 safety guidelines at all times.
I am a non-smoker and of sober habits.
As I work from my laptop, I do ask if you have a reliable internet connection.
I am in the home environment most of the time, which means your home and beloved pets benefit from a virtual 24/7 personalized service.
I am also experienced in caring for pets that require medication, and/or require special care due to ongoing illness.
I have completed many house sitting assignments, looking after a variety of domestic pets (dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs) and farm animals (cows, bulls, goats, ducks, chickens, horses, and alpacas)
I'm particularly fond of all animals, and would enjoy the opportunity to care for your pets as my own.
My hobbies and interests include: singing and song writing, Yoga, Pilates, meditation, and diet related health.
I also appreciate the value and importance of a home, and have always endeavoured to care for homes I live in as if they were my own.
I would be more than happy to chat with you about your house and pet sitting needs further at a mutually convenient time.

“We would definitely recommend James to house sit. We were gone for 10 weeks and left James to care for our animals, 2 cows, 2 Sheep, chickens, turkeys and our dog George. They were all well cared for. Our home was spotless as well!. Thank you James”

“We arrived home to happy, healthy looking dogs, and the very few smaller things (a mice migration following our late cat’s demise just before we left etc) we were already aware off, because of James regular updates. Often with photos. James dealt with the intruders better than we could have, and even taught us a few tips. Our house was tidy, organised & clean. Our plants cared for, our chooks & ducks well fed. We would definitely invite James again to housesit & recommend him sincerely.”

“James did a great job in looking after and caring for our loved Golden Retriever. James insisted on a contactless Zoom meeting and we showed him around the house and gardens via the iPad meeting We forwarded to him the house and dog instructions prior to the sit so he could ask any questions before we travelled overseas. After coming home we were very disappointed in the lack of care given to the garden. Large parts were dead due to a broken hose which was easily detected as soon as the tap went on. We left clear instructions on watering and hoses available but they don’t appear to have been followed. We understand that not all people are interested in gardens however if garden requirements are part of the sit, they should follow instructions or not apply for the position.”

“We were away for 6 months and we were able to do that without worry because James cared for our home and large gardens, and the animals as if they were his own. We could not have asked for anyone more willing or capable to do what we needed. His emails were always informative and gave us a real sense of what was happening at home. A couple of equipment failures were handled efficiently by James, whose considered approach was appreciated. James made it easy to be away for so long, and we are grateful. We would certainly ask James to mind our home again in the future.”
