I am recently retired and an empty nester and wanting to experience living in new areas. I have recent experience caring for smallish dogs, cats, fish, a snail and a sour dough starter needing attention weekly! I am a bit of a pet whisperer, owners often saying how calm they are when they arrive home. Also apparently the first loaf of sourdough after I tended to the starter tasted better than previous loaves!
I grew up with various farm animals too so willing to try almost anything with instruction.
I am very house proud and the sort of person that has always received the entire bond back when renting even in my early life. In fact the owner of the real estate agency I rented from for the last 5 years until June 2022 is happy to be a phone reference.
I love animals and am just as happy in the garden weeding and mowing and capable of light maintenance. I am a good communicator and always happy to give regular updates.
I am a bit of a home body and my hobbies are crafty things, gardening, reading, walking, researching stuff on the internet, music, singing, movies and catching up with grandchildren on facetime. My evenings are pretty much exclusively at home from 5pm as I watch The Chase.
I have a current Police check, many reviews on this site and I can supply written references via email and phone re my pet care and housekeeping.
I am always available to do phone, wattsap video, facetime or face to face interviews to answer any questions you may have.
I started house/petsitting thinking it would be short term but I love it and often get invited back. I am still looking to explore new areas though.

“We had Lisa stay in our home primarily to look after our 3 furbabies while we attended our daughter’s wedding overseas. Lisa went above and beyond. She weeded, watered, cleaned windows and so much more . All while giving our furbabies all the love and attention they needed. She walked them, brushed them , loved and nurtured them & fed them. Lisa you’re a real gem and we feel so lucky & grateful that you were available when we needed you! Thankyou so much .”

“Lisa was an incredible house sitter. She came the night before to go over everything and instantly connected with our pets. While we were away, she kept in regular contact with updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. Our dog was walked daily and taken in the car when she went out—he was clearly loved and well cared for. We returned to a spotless home and very happy pets. Lisa treated our house like her own and was thoughtful, respectful, and reliable in every way. We would absolutely have her back and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets and home.”

“Lisa looked after Piper and Phoebe for 3 weeks. I came home to 2 very happy and well looked after dogs. My home was well looked after, Lisa even did my weeding!. All my neighbours told me about all the walks Lisa took my girls on, they loved it. I received regular updates and photos. I would always welcome Lisa to look after my girls any time. “We were lucky to have Lisa to sit for us in October/November for almost a month. She took good care of Meimei and Moremore. She followed our instructions carefully. She sent photos and chat with us on a regular basis. She kept our house and garden clean and neat. We have had few sitters in the past and we think she is the best. “Such a beautiful woman is Lisa, honest, reliable and super caring. This is the 3rd time we have been lucky enough to secure Lisa for a pet sit of our elderly cat and dog. Both our pets were super excited to see Lisa again and disgruntled when we returned home. Both were so loved and well cared for, and all of their quirky ways met to a tee. The house was spot less and plants thriving. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone who was lucky enough to secure her to petsit. Thank you Lisa.”

“We first met Lisa 6 years ago through Mindahome, and have been lucky enough to have her house-sit for us multiple times since then. Lisa is the best! She is extremely principled and reliable, and always goes 'above and beyond' on every level. With her nursing background, she has confidently managed our dogs' various medical issues that have come with ageing. Our house is always left spotless, the pool skimmed, the outdoor areas swept and tidy (this time it also involved raking up huge quantities of autumn leaves, which we told her not to bother with, but of course she did anyway!). This is the kind of person Lisa is. We cannot recommend her highly enough.”
