Hello.
I am a 65 year old father of two grown up daughters. I have been a longtime live in caregiver and I am very experienced at running and maintaining a residence.
I enjoy gardening and while I currently have no pets of my own, I have cared for many different animals over the years, both as pets and whilst living on rural properties. I've been told that I am a very neat and tidy person and always keep houses and gardens in a presentable state through choice rather than expectation. You may be assured that your property and pets will be in safe and secure hands while you are absent.
I am an easy going person who enjoys both being in the countryside and quiet evenings at home. For a number of years I was also involved in the entertainment industry, presenting sound and lighting for shows and managing stages, venues and acting as an artist liaison.
I enjoy an occasional social drink, reading and playing guitar.

“I highly recommend Rod if you are considering him for your house sit. He took care of our house and more importantly our two dogs and if he’s available in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to have him do it again, and I’m sure Lily and Benny feel the same”

“Rod was an amazing house sitter, he was so easy to communicate with,we went away for 4 days, and he sent us pictures of both of our dogs. Rod is retired so was able to spend his days at our place with the dogs. Our house was left in immaculate condition. We would definitely recommend Rod and we will most certainly be asking him to sit for us again. Thanks so much Rod!”

“Rod looked after my home and my dog Benji for 3 weeks. I returned last night to find a neat and tidy home and garden and a dog who clearly adored Rod (I may have been a touch jealous about the latter!). I can honestly say Rod went above and beyond, he had repaired some things around the house and garden for which I am extremely grateful. He also maintained contact while I was away so I was always informed of Benji's well-being which I really appreciated. Rod is a friendly man who has earnt my trust, I have no hesitation recommending him as a very reliable, honest, ethical and capable house and pet sitter who takes his responsibility seriously; neither would I hesitate to approach him in future to house and Benji sit for me. I have utilised house sitters in the past and Rod has outshone them.”
