Hello Travellers!

Over the years, I have gratefully hosted
lovely house-sitters for my home and fur kids (who are no longer with me) and also completed varied house and petsitting jobs for others.

I have been moving around a lot in the last 10 years working in the aviation industry. I'm back in Oz now and I am not tied to an address anymore so am available in ALL states. I miss caring for and delighting in the companionship and silly antics of animals and feel that pet sitting is a brilliant way to experience the joy of having a pet again (without actually having a pet!)
I am travelling solo, am a meticulously tidy person and will care for your home just as you wish, so the 'holiday blues' don't hit you too hard when you come home! I will always maintain good comms with you and send as many (or as little) pet pics as you like while you are away.

I really love the mental and physical health benefits of being a pet carer. A bouncy dog motivates you to get going on walks and equally a nervous pupper or kitty lets me really tap into communicating and problem solving with them. And one of my favourite things is listening to the sound of a purring kitty... so soothing on the soul. On longer sits, I have really enjoyed connecting with the hosts' community at local walks and chit chatting with the neighbour when bringing the bins back in.

I am a qualified Canine Myofunctional Therapist (fancy term for doggie massage and physio). I fostered ex-racing Greyhounds before they went off to their forever homes. My dog was a whippet - greyhound cross and taught me a lot about dealing with animal body language and emotions (severe anxiety in her case). I am experienced in administering meds to cats and dogs as well as caring for minor health issues and injuries. My kitty was a teeny weeny kitten when I rescued her and she became my "Sensei" of feline nutrition so I had to learn quick smart!

I am currently studying online so I am available to keep your babies company.

Through the privilege of owning and caring for many animals since I was a child, I am a confident handler. From front door bolters, firework haters, to old couch potatoes and needy duvet divers, I've got you covered! I would be honoured to be trusted to stay in your space and have the company of your pets!

“My experience with this petsitter was unacceptable, I cannot recommend her. She failed to disclose essential information that my dog had stopped eating for several days. My concerns were dismissed, she only admitted the truth three hours before my return. She ignored instructions, including my request that my dog never be locked outside. I returned to find a barricade outdoors to contain my pet. From Day 2, Mika limited my dog to short walks, despite claiming extensive dog-handling experience. He had reduced muscle tone consistent with insufficient exercise. Communication throughout the sit focused on her personal inconveniences rather than pet updates, and reasonable discussion was difficult. Most concerning, she accessed my daughter’s private mail to obtain personal details and used them to secure roadside assistance without consent. After the sit, she responded to a simple debrief request with personal insults. Based on these events, I strongly advise caution.”

“Mika looked after my home, dog, cat, and aquarium fish, and I couldn’t be happier. She house sat in February during a very hot Perth summer, going above and beyond by keeping the pool clean, watering plants, and even calmly handling a hot water system replacement. Her professionalism and warmth gave me confidence from the start, and her daily photo updates kept me at ease. The house was spotless on my return — Mika is exceptionally clean, tidy, and organised, which reflects her Japanese background. Her experience as a flight attendant also showed in the way she handled everything responsibly and calmly. I would highly recommend Mika to anyone needing a reliable and caring house sitter. She exceeded expectations, and I’ll definitely ask her again.”

“Mika was outstanding. I felt really at ease leaving the cats in her care. Evie needed medication at short notice but this was not an issue. Both cats loved her and she followed instruction and their routines. Plenty of updates and photos. House was very well cared for and cleaner than when I left! Even my car was cleaned! Would highly recommend Mika and we'd have her back any time.”

“Mika was a pleasure to communicate with and quick with her responses. All instructions were easily followed and kaya was beautifully cared for. Lots of photos were sent almost daily showing me snippets of her day including walks , swims , naps and enrichment activities. Mika also cared for my home and it was spotless. Highly recommended for any further sits.”

“Mika put me at ease from the get go, she was punctual to all arranged meet ups, her communication was excellent before, during and after the sit. She gave my Cyan the same degree of love and attention as me I got photo updates throughout my absence. Mika understood her playtime needs and spoke her language. “We were so lucky to have Mika look after our home and dog. She kept us updated the entire stay with lots of photos and even created enrichment activities for our pup. We came home to an Immaculate house and a dinner ready to heat in the oven. We would definitely recommend her and rebook with her!”
