The CollectA Koolasuchus Cleelandi is an awesome prehistoric amphibian model from the 2023 CollectA range. This unusual creature is modelled in a standing position with its wide mouth open showcasing its sharp white teeth. It has been painted predominantly green with brown colouring on its tail. “The only thing I would dock this model a star for is the paint scheme. Although there's no way to know for certain what color Koolasuchus was in real life, very few living salamanders have green coloration; as a likely ambush predator, it probably had a mottled brown or gray upper body with lighter tones underneath similar to its living relatives, the Asian Giant Salamanders and the American Hellbender. Even so, it's an excellent and robust model.”

“He lives up to his name, he is Kool. Saw him in a BBC show on prehistoric life. He lived in Antartica, Where thier wasn't any crocs around.”

“This figure is the perfect likeness of Koolasuchus. It even has the sensory pits on the skull, and the scaly skin (which some fossil amphibians had, but modern ones do not). This is my current fave!”
