Atomic Mass Games brings Star Wars skirmish battles to life on your table top with this fantastic new game. The core set is packed with content in a glorious art-covered mega box, filled to the brim with everything you need to get this game on the table. 4 Complete squads worth of unassembled and unpainted minis await your command along with an ample supply of tokens, cards, measurement tools, bases, and terrain. Rule book and dice are also included. As a bonus, the core box comes with 2 thematic photo backgrounds and instructions for turning the packaging into a photo-box, to showcase your minis when they are finally assembled and painted. (paints and painting supplies not included). Game itself is a little heavy on the frontloaded rules, but once you get it on the table and play a few struggles, you get the hang of the important stuff. Fun and dynamic gameplay with lots of options to customize your squads. Very robust game, with fun thematic character abilities. The developer's love for the Star Wars universe really comes through in the character design and how the units interact in play. For the level of complexity, the rules feel streamlined and there is a sense of freedom to do "all the things" with your units, which makes the gameplay exciting and entertaining. Lots of dice to roll, so definitely recommend getting an extra dice pack to supplement the core set. If you enjoy tabletop skirmish games and you love Star Wars, you should enjoy this game. If you don't enjoy model building and mini painting, you may need to find a friend who does, because there is a lot of assembly and painting needed to fully realize the thematic value of this core set.

I was concerned about the price for what you get coming from playing Marvel Crisis Protocol, but you'll see like I did it's not a concern. You get a lot of terrain and characters for your money. 4 full units that you can mix and match between and a lot of really nice terrain. It's all come together well and easier than expected. I'm still trying to get in my first game so I can't say a lot about the play experience yet, but I can say that the rules are fairly easy to pick up and a lot more intuitive than my favorite skirmish game, Marvel Crisis Protocol. If you're on the fence like I was, I'm telling you to go for it, no regrets here!

Doesn’t play like anything else in the market, great minis even if some are a pain to build. My new favorite game.

Great game! absolutely loving it so far. Some Notes: - The box is much bigger than I expected, but that isn't a bad thing, it is a testament to how much stuff is inside. - The minis and terrain are great. Very "Clone Wars" in their aesthetic. Clearly well-designed and nicely details, that being said, some of the minis are pretty fiddly to assemble. Once again, not a bad thing, but these are not easy-to-assemble push-fit minis. So probably not the best for kids to put together. - The game itself is great. Not overly complicated, flows well, and can be completed pretty quickly. Overall, stoked about the purchase.

This is a fun game. It takes a few rounds to really get it, though it's fun nonetheless. Be patient with yourselves while playing - it'll take a moment. The effort required is really about the ruleset, and a handful of models. The rules are not written as cleanly as they could be, and may require a restatement to comprehend. And, the instructions for assembly are online, requiring a search as there's no paperwork indicating where to go. That's low effort, however frustrating if you're new to the game. Frustration-wise, the droids are obnoxious to assemble. All the other models have some level of single-fit locations, while the droids are largely ball and socket style. That can make assembly very annoying. They also have very small anchor points on the 3-model base. When playing, be prepared to see them break their glue joins. And, the models themselves are not as clean, high quality, nor well sculpted as industry veteran manufacturers. Still great, though not up to the quality of others; again, be patient, and enjoy the game (if you want to paint models alone - maybe choose a different line). All in all - I'm looking forward to playing more games. Very fun.

I have not played a lot of games at the time of typing this review, but I like the simplicity of the gameplay and rules. The minis also look fantastic even if they aren't painted. While the core set doesn't have much in it (there is more terrain than minis arguably) it still is a lot of fun, and I like the customization options the game has despite that. It definitely will require expansions and if you want larger-scale fights or more options of units overall, then SW Legion may be a better option, but if you are looking for a quick set of games then this is an excellent option. Furthermore, due to the simplicity of the rules, it's a good game to get into the strategy of these tabletop miniatures without getting hit with a bunch of upgrade cards and unit limitation and point values, and an overabundance of keywords.

the box is great and everything you and your opponent need to play a game is in here. a few of the parts are a bit fiddly but for the most part, it's easy and fast-moving. Mini's look great and feel strong for gaming. The gameplay is not super crazy hard to understand and is fun.

It’s a solid skirmish experience is the star wars world. Not as good as say Crisis Protocol or Malifaux, but the best skirmish game set in the Star Wars universe.
