Good set of paint that is almost wash consistency. I have not had problems with it reactivating as I put more paint on top. But I did have problems with the paint running after it had dried and I took modals out in the snow. But now I just varnish afterwards as the last step and that fixes everything.

These work as advertised. You can get your figures painted very quickly and they look great. I've been getting stuff done and cleaning out my backlog. Some of the darks are VERY dark and look better diluted with the medium they give you, but overall I'm very happy.

This is a well priced competitor to the GW Contrast range, with Army Painter's great quality behind it!

I have always hated painting, but the ease of use and quality of the paint makes me want to actually paint.

Have a pile of reaper miniatures that you just don't think you'll ever get to? These are what you need! Give the minis a white / zenithal coat of primer and get to work. After a single coat, you can call most minis done. You do need to wait a bit for the minis to dry and I highly recommend that you varnish the minis to seal in the colors. Otherwise, the paint tends to rub off and if you apply more coats or other paints you get the reactivation problem. Highly recommend.

This set might seem really expensive at $89 for 24 bottles compared to their Mega Paint Set, however it is only $3.70/bottle and contrast paint is $7.85-$8.90/pot depending on where you buy it. This paint will base coat, wash, and highlight your minis in ONE coat of paint. It will easily save you 50% to 66% of the time but the final results still look great. I’m in love with these speedpaints and if they come out with another set of 24 different colors then I’ll snap those up too. The only small negative about these paints is that after they dry the paint can be rubbed off very easily so be careful. You can paint with more speedpaint or regular paint over it, but be very gentle! You can not dry brush after applying speedpaint. This negative can be mitigated by using a proper miniature handle to prevent rubbing or putting a coat of clear over the miniature if you want to dry brush or do something that requires abrasive force.
