These paints are nothing short of exceptional if you want to paint a better than average army to a tabletop quality in half the time it usually takes.

Had to purchase this after only able to get my hands on the starter set awhile back. Love some the colors and price compared to contrast paints but I have no complaints on either this far.

This stuff works much better than GW contrast, IMO. The coverage is great, pools where it needs, and doesn’t streak. It works great as a one and done paint, but also provides an easily applied based to work from. If I have any gripes with it it’s that some of the more neutral tones are too close to one another and that it dries a little glossy, especially in the recesses. Expect to use some varnish to flatten the sheen, if you want. The paint can reactive fairly easily, so a varnish is necessary regardless.

They don't work the same as Contrast paint but I absolutely love them. They apply nice and thin. I'm loving them for painting Marvel Crisis Protocol.

Watch videos on it before you buy. They are good paints, but you have to use them very intentionally. There's a slight reactivation issue, but I used that to my advantage and got some easy highlights off of just using water.

If you're a lazy DM like me and can't be bothered to intricately paint every single mini you put on the table, at least give em a once over with these paints. Just as good as Contrast and at half the price.
