“Whoever created this game is a genius! For a game that could have been very complex and hard to play, the mechanics are very easy to understand, but at the same time there is a lot going on in the game. For every question I had in my first play-through there was an answer in the instructions. The board, pieces, and miniatures are all incredible and I was overjoyed to see that I did not have to put together any miniatures. While this game is fun with friends, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed and was challenged in the single player mode. As glad as I was to get it on sale, after having played I would have paid full price for it. Now I'm saving for the expansions. This game is a must for any board game fan who wants a fully immersive, challenging yet fun, semi-cooperative game.”

“Nemesis is a game filled with beautiful miniatures, an enticing basis, a beautiful map, and a table filled with players who do not know whether they were going to be working together or against each other. For the first playthrough, no one knew what their roles did and how to best approach their objectives. The resulting game was a slow progression through the early phases of the game as we either ignored the consequences of certain mechanics or overly respected others (namely the time track and opportunity attacks). In any case, Nemesis truly peaked at the final moments of the game when the board was filled with Intruders, the ship was near self-destruction, and players were getting wiped out left and right with no ammo left in their guns and nowhere to run. The pacing and the limited amount of actions each player can take based on their character might feel wonky and unpleasant to some players for me, I loved to thrill and the discovery of each step we took in that spaceship. Between playing a 6-player game and playing a 5-player fully cooperative game, I have not played an actual normal game but I'm sure that now armed with all the knowledge of the rules, the next game will be just as fun if not more intense. tl;dr lengthy game which ramps up in pace at the end. takes a few playthroughs to fully understand and exploit every mechanic in the game.”

“This game is fantastic! If you enjoy the Alien series or other sci-fi movies you'll love this game. The object is simple, survive and complete your objective. The problem is aliens, and possibly the other players, are trying to kill you. The game is semi co-op but you never know what the other players are completely up to but there is a full co-op way to play the game if you want a little less suspicion amongst your play group. The production value of this game is off the charts. Cannot say enough good things about this game.”
