There are ultimately 2 ways to play this game: free play and a campaign. Full disclosure: I have yet to play the campaign. That said, free play is fabulous! The game works really well at creating a feeling of tension. And when you lose, there are often certain specific placements you can point to, making you want to play again. The pros and cons of each dice roll weigh each other out awesomely. I would highly recommend!

The best solo game out there. And I don’t even like solo games.

Great game with a simple and great theme. You can compare it to the Space Invaders game of old but much more intricate and exciting. It's a great solo game that's making a big buzz for all solo players. Youve got different city cards and alien cards, you're manipulating your dice to do actions. It's a great game. Definitely check it out.

This game is very enjoyable with quite a bit a variability once you open up the campaign materials. The game is like a board game version of Galaga or Space Invaders as you defend earth from aliens descending slowly upon the earth. The game involves rolling dice, but does not feel luck based at all as the dice rolls usually just give you a puzzle to have to sort out as to the ideal placement to mitigate what the enemy does, while maximizing what you can do. Occasionally, you need a certain number to come up, but seldom does it come down to that... plus you do reroll during certain die placements. I highly recommend this to the solo board gamers out there, especially if you like the nostalgia that the theme brings.

You'll never blow away the AI with variance in this game. Good rolls for you are also good for the AI, so it's all about strategy and order of operations. The only randomness are in the dice. If you're "surprised" by something that happens, you just didn't think far enough ahead. If you like planning and procedures, this is a fun one!

I’ve always been apprehensive of trying solo variants of the games I have because I feel like I know what I’m missing. Having a dedicated solo game, however, feels like a completely new and robust experience, and I greatly enjoy it.
