Picked up two of these cores so that I could keep multiple instances of core encounter sets with other campaigns. Wouldn’t do this for just any ol’ game!

It’s still good old Arkham Horror LCG, if you are looking to save a penny you can grab 2 copies of this core set which is basically exactly what comes in the new more expensive revised core set, the other advantage to getting the newer one is that the bigger box provides some more space for organization with for example a custom made insert and such

Got two copies of the game when it was on sale for $6, which was a crazy good price. The games came quickly, and I'm very impressed with the game. You only get a quick three scenario campaign so don't expect to delve deeply into this world without buying campaign and investigator boxes (which are unfortunately pretty expensive), but the game system is so fantastic and I see so much potential in it that I'm very excited to try deeper campaigns in this world, and have already ordered Dunwich Legacy.

Arkham horror is a classic by now and a staple for LCG games. Pick yourself up a core set or even a revised set and enjoy. Cheap with tons of depth even at the base game alone. As low as the box gets you really have no reason to not try it!

Note: Anyone just getting into Arkham Horror LCG should get the revised core set over this version. This version is currently best for getting duplicate core encounter sets used in other campaigns. Arkham Horror LCG is an amazingly flexible game with strong narrative elements. Every scenario has its own unique twist on the base formula and each investigator approaches deckbuilding and scenarios differently. It works amazingly well as a solo game, but the emergent narrative that arrises with a multiplayer group is delightful and keeps me coming back for more.
