Super fun to play with!! You can make a list with just these ships or add them to other lists.

This back is probably the worst of the 3 sets to come out, but if you are a collector and you just want to fly Vader in a defender, this is a must!

At absolute minimum, Skystrike is an affordable way to get your hands on a couple new Interceptors and a Defender (with neat paint jobs to boot,) along with a host of new pilots and upgrades for both. A series of handy upgrades are included that add new ways to utilize these ships, and I'm excited to play with my setups to see how they affect the dynamic of these squadrons. However, while I appreciate the flexibility, I'm a bit on the fence regarding the new "Standardized" upgrades that require that all instances of a ship in a squadron be equipped with the upgrade. The Defender and Interceptor both get Standardized Configuration upgrades, and the pack includes 2 cards for Defenders (which is enough for a standard 200pt list,) but only 4 for Interceptors (you can fit 6 into a 200pt list.) This limits your build options a little bit if you're making a swarm, since you can't run the upgrade on just 4 of your 6 Interceptors - legally, if one has the upgrade equipped, all of them need to have it. All that being said, even if you set aside the Standardized Upgrades, this expansion still provides plenty of new and interesting options, and I'm more than happy with it given the price. If you run Defenders/Interceptors a lot, like the neat paint jobs, and want some new options for those ships, I'd say go ahead and pick this one up.

These new paint jobs just add to the arsenal of sleek Empire ships. The new Darth Vader pilot in the TIE Defender is a beast.

TIE interceptors really needed some help, and this pack delivers! Also, some great TIE defender updates as well that give you options on how to fly both ships. A must have for imperial collectors.

Highly recommended for new and veteran Imperial players. with fancy new paintjob, this pack offers many great features. 1. A load of great pilots and upgrades for TIE/In Interceptors. new 6 and i5 ace pilots and great commander pilots who helps lower initiative pilots, which are great for swarm players. 2. DARTH VADER IN TIE DEFENDER. yes. Many imperial hardcore fans' dream has come true. he is literally beast on table. put him in you list and fly like a boss. 3. TIE-Specific upgrades and new imperial-only talent. these upgrades offer better maneuver and action economy, which are great for both casual flying and competitive game!
