These are perfect for large 40k miniatures. I use this size for Space Marine Tanks, the Lager Tau suits, Larger Ork Vehicles etc. Being able to customize the size and fit is really nice.

These trays are good. I generally leave the outer row/column intact to help maintain integrity of the foam tray though i do not know if that is necessary. The foam columns pluck right out and you can shape whatever space inside that you need. Each tray (regardless of the depth size) has the same base dimensions so you can stack them uniformly. I have had no issues with these so far.

The vertical foam columns pluck out fairly easily to set the spaces for whatever you're trying to protect. Ive got Pathfinder Adult Green Dragon and a number of other large size miniatures in this one and they fit pretty well. 3" might have worked, but the 4" definitely is tall enough. Any size of these trays still have the same base dimensions and stack nicely.

My order consisted of 3 trays. 2 of 3 we're fine. The 3rd tray showed up and the foam border wall was not glued to the red foam that makes up the bottom of the tray. I'd say 40% of the tray walls were missing glue. I chose to apply my own glue to fix the issue rather than dealing with return hassles, etc.

I love pluck foam trays. I have an ongoing project with hundreds of models that also needs to be fully mobile, and the trays keep everything safe as I'm hauling it from place to place. I always make sure I have enough on hand to store the next part of my project.
