The detailed map that this game revolves around is great! Even though the included case cards work very well, the map itself is fun to just examine on its own, following characters around the city to see what happened during their day. I would highly recommend this, although I would be careful as to showing this to younger children, since the events depicted are not necessarily child-friendly.

While I wouldn't call it a game but rather an activity; I was addicted to it. Fun time and can't wait until the next one.

My family and I have had a ton of fun playing this game! There are a good number of cases to solve in the box and range with a good selection of difficulty levels. We added in a bonus activity of coloring in the picture as we go for the sections related to the case we were on. My one point of warning for recommending this game is that the subject matter and some of the images are questionable for young children. I think some printings are going to be identifying cases that have more family friendly motives or identify the more problematic ones. Maybe it opens the door to have appropriate conversations.

A great and fun experience resolving the intriguing cases. The art is beautiful, making an option for future decoration. A unique game worth it every penny.

Torn on this one. Love the concept. But we'll go through it very quickly and there won't be any replay value. I think I'd prefer it to be cheaper. They could sell the map only and then have an app with the missions. The box could come with a code that would unlock the base missions, and then you could download more later. Again, I'm torn. This is the kind of thing where you split the cost with another family and share it when you're done.

MicroMacro Crime City: what a delightful little game! It makes me wonder why I didn't think about it before.. A very fresh concept, simple and engaging: it is an immersive experience of intuition and observation, being a detective around the streets of a city that really comes to life! A shout out to the artist, who here and there messes with the players, putting the investigation off the rail with some false suspects (that end up doing nothing but living their life), and that makes the game even more fun. I subscribed to their website for more cases and, of course wait for more expansions. Recommended * * * * * (five stars)

I really enjoy detective games, but absolutely nothing has made me feel like a real detective as much as MicroMacro. Which is odd, given that it's so incredibly simple. There's just something about the feeling of peering into the map with your magnifying glass and then finally seeing that clue that ties the whole story together! It's a rush. Love it.

A very good puzzle game for two players. I would be hesitant to add a third, as heads may bump looking for clues. The included magnifying glass is merely 'okay', find a better one!
