In Battle, There Are No EqualsUnmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you've mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.Battle of Legends Vol 2 features four heroes: Yennenga, Achilles, Sun Wukong, and Bloody Mary.Combat is resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card's unique effects and a simple but deep timing system lead to interesting decisions each time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhäuser for ranged attacks and area effects. The game includes a new battlefield with a brand new mechanism, pre-washed miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers that's brought to life with the stunning artwork of Zoe van Dijk and the combined design teams of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.Yennenga - Warrior-Princess, peerless hunter, leader of men, and the mother of an entire nation. With Yennenga leading the charge, her archers will divide and conquer.Achilles - Achilles and Patroclus, brothers in arms and blessed by Hermes, together a formidable team. When Patroclus falls, under Achilles' helm, it will surely be the day of your doom.Sun Wukong - Ox, tortoise, phoenix, sly monkey. He and his army of clones will bewilder you with their taunting laughter as much as their infinite strikes.Bloody Mary - Stare into the mirror, speak three times, and beware: She's closer than she appears. What was that? A stolen memory or merely a trick of the light?Contents:4 Miniatures6 Sidekick Tokens5 Health Dials124 Card1 GameboardInstructionsAges: 9+Players: 2-4Game Length: 20-40 minutesThis game can be played on its own or combined with other Unmatched sets for enhanced play.

If you are a fan of Unmatched, just go ahead and pick this up. Cool characters, art, and interesting map. Each of the V2 characters have a "double attack" on a single card, which spices things up. Very good set and very fun!

This is an excellent addition to the Unmatched set, and also a great place to start for someone just getting into the game. Each set seems better than the last!

I now own every pack of unmatched (outside of the buffy pack, as that theme doesn't interest me as well as the 2 individual characters). This pack has some very interesting dynamics, as it has an improved version of Robin Hood (at least that is the way it feels to me) in Yennenga, as well as a totally new playstyle with Sun Wukong. I also love the dynamic of Achilles. The way this pack falls short is in its inclusion of Bloody Mary. This character doesn't fit in this pack, or in general with any of the unmatched characters (this is an opinion, and if you think differently, that is fine). I have not played bloody Mary, as I've looked at the deck, and it looks balanced, but the mini is stupid, and the art I just do not find appealing. In regards to the map, it might have my favorite single map in any unmatched, as it makes for such a different play style, however, my complaint would be that this map, unlike Cobble and Fog and Battle of Legends Volume 1, has the same map on both the front and back side of the board. This is not a huge issue, as I have enough maps, but if you are looking at a first pack, this is a bigger problem. Overall, this is a good addition to the series. If you are looking at just getting into the game and want a simple experience, I would recommend looking at volume 1. If you want a bit more complexity and overall my favorite pack, look at Cobble and Fog. If you already have the rest of the unmatched system and are looking for more characters (as was the case with me, and yes, I have a problem) this is a great purchase. but I would consider this to be the last thing to add among all of the 4 player and 2 player packs. Below is my recommended purchase order- Cobble and Fog Bigfoot VS Robin Hood Battle of Legends Vol. 1 Jurassic Park Beowolf VS Little Red Riding Hood Battle of Legends Vol. 2 Finally, I see they have 2 Marvel packs coming out. If you enjoy marvel, I can say the system is great, (and the more you play, you can give people who aren't as experienced in games as you the stronger characters, and take the less strong ones to balance the game) and if you like marvel, you may want to wait for the upcoming packs.

A LOT of fun for sure! All characters are pretty unique and have fun mechanics. The models look good, and rules are easy to pickup. There is technically only one map which is a little disappointing compared to the other sets, but still a fun little board! Fully recommended for new fans or old.

Each character (Achilles, Yennenga, Bloody Mary, and Sun Wukong) is fun to play. The map is very detailed and includes a new feature. I wish they still produced 2 sided maps, but since they stopped, the maps have increased in detail. I would highly recommend this game to anyone.
