“Very fun game. I heard good things about Wingspan, but liked the theming of Wyrmspan better. From what I understand, its a little less cutthroat then Wingspan (similar games but minor differences). We have so far played the game twice in the first week of delivery. Despite all the games in my collection, it may get another play before the end of the week.”
“If you love Wingspan, I highly recommend this game. It take the best parts of Wingspan and refines it into a really well balanced, and smooth game. My wife and I love it!”
“Since the beginning we enjoyed this game a lot. It cares the Wingspan mechanic and in my personal opinion, it takes the better of that game and improves other things to increase the strategy. Very enjoyjable at 2 o 3 players, and as Wingspan it suffers of long turns when you try this game on 4/5 players. The art and components are great, something expected on this games. If you have not played Wingspan, this one will be a litle challenging, on the other hand after 1 round it will work perfectly.

“Great game, concur with all the “different enough from Wingspan to own both” sentiments out there. If you dont own either, I think I slightly prefer this one to Wingspan - may be partially due to me preferring the fantasy setting, but think it’s also due to fact that Wyrmspan forces you to consider switching up your moves by making repeating action in same round more expensive in “explore cave” action, and just by making it impossible in other cases (if you have to pay eggs in order to lay eggs during repeat of action then it makes this action less desirable). I always found myself using every single cube in last round of Wingspan to lay eggs, that was not a possible strategy in Wyrmspan (which is nice because then not every last round will play identically). I also like the way you can gain extra action markers, or decide to pay extra (for an extra awesome dragon) which varied the game up a bit, and I like the way you dont have less actions every subsequent round (like you do in Wingspan). I honestly felt like I was splurging a bit by buying Wyrmspan when I already own Wingspan, but I’m very glad I did.”
“Complexity is a little higher than Wingspan with a few more moving parts, but if you have played Wingspan it's easy enough to pick up the new parts.
Production quality is great, but the game needs some additional storage solutions, I added some deck boxes and additional bags to get my game organized.
Playing the game does not seem as balanced as Wingspan, but scores ended up very close so the points are where the balance is.
Dislike that the facts are in a separate booklet, but looking then up is fun. Nice to pass the book around to the person who is not the active player, but found I wanted to interrupt the active player a lot with the wyrm facts.”
