“I figured this might just be Wingspan 2, but Wyrmspan really distinguishes itself from it's sister game. The rules are very fresh and the gameplay is engaging and exciting! If you like Wingspan, you'll like this. I believe it offers enough of a new experience to justify existing!”
“Much like Wingspan but different enough to be a great game! We brought this to our gaming night at a friends and played all night. An awesome game that is both fun and challenging to play.”
“I lived wingspan but I love wyrmspan more! More using resources and still machine building. Great artwork. More options for actions each turn so it never gets old!”
“The game is beautiful and the gameplay is familiar because of wingspan. It is similar to wingspan but different enough to be interesting and more challenging.”
“Interesting game. Quite similar to wingspan. But, by round four the game seems to bog down. At round 4 we each had 7 or 8 turns with huge engines. Turns took quite a while.
TBH, I may prefer wingspan. But, still a fun game.”
“I'm a long time enjoyer of Wingspan with my gaming group but my wife wasn't interested in Wingspan. But she thought the dragons looked cute and that was enough to convince her to try Wyrmspan. I thought it would be Wingspan with new wallpaper but found it had several new mechanics that elevated the game to surpassing Wingspan, at least for me. My wife (who never played Wingspan) even beat me in our first game. We've already played it several times so I think it's a keeper.
It definitely has a lot of the same feel as Wingspan, but with enough new mechanics that I prefer it. And yes, the art style is great too.”
