I purchased this game for our family Christmas entertainment. We have made it a family tradition to get a board game each Christmas. Past Christmas games include Seven Wonders, Ticket to Ride, Catan, Trekking the World, Sythe and Carcasone. We tried using the quick start kit, but found that we still really needed more background to get to grips with all the possible move options. So, a couple of YouTube videos later and a brief read through of the set up instructions, and we launched a new game without the quick guidance. There are some familiar elements in this game to those found in our previous Christmas board games. Once we got going, everything was pretty intuitive. I think I would rank this in my top three games, along with Seven Wonders and Ticket to Ride.

Wingspan is a great game to play with family. The dynamics of this game change each play through. You don't have the same play each time. We have played 8 times since Christmas and have yet to feel bored or tired of playing.

Wingspan is a very fun game that can change every time it is played...my 10-year-old has enjoyed it (my 7-year old plays with the game pieces and will likely want to learn the real game soon).

My little kids loved the programmatic way you choose and execute actions and collecting birds, but oddly enough, grownups who were actually trying to understand and execute strategy found the bird powers overwhelming, like we were making up the rules as we went! No problem! I love the solo mode so I'll keep it around to try with some more gamer-types.

Wingspan is great game. The production quality is amazing, cheerful colors, cute bits, and there is even a linen finish on the instruction manual. The gameplay is sufficiently simple that novice gamers can play and has sufficient depth to intrigue more experienced gamers. The theme is pleasant and incorporates well with gameplay. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful game of bird and resource management. What birds to play, what environment to place them in, when to lay eggs, what food sources to collect, are some of the decisions to be made. Each bird card gives you interesting information about the bird as well as important game stats.

A really good game! It's probably best for harder players since there are quite a few rules... The game for me and my friends takes longer then it says on the box, but we enjoy every minute. It's nice to try different tactics each game with the different birds that are drawn.
