“Windows was reporting that my hard drive was going bad (almost 10 years old, so fair enough) and I needed to take action. I had a 120gb ssd but my old drive was 148gb. I tried to downsize the drive but despite having 60gb free I could not get it below 120gb (or even 140gb). I saw a recommendation for Partition Wizard on a forum and tried it. My initial intention was to use it to scale the drive down but decided to just go ahead and have it image the disk to the new drive. I transferred the disk image to the new SSD via USB 2.0 so it took a while but once it completed I switched drives and everything booted up perfectly. I can\'t fault it for a thing.”

“I am lucky to have used your MiniTool. The MiniTool Partition Wizard Free proved to be the best tool for me to migrate data (including EFI, OS, data and recovery partitions) from my old and slower HDD to my new and faster SSD I have bought recently to get a little more life out of my old laptop. I was able to move and resize the partitions while planning the migration to optimize the precious SSD space and thus save time later. Migration of around 200 GB overall of actual data from a larger HDD to a smaller SSD connected externally over USB interface was easy, taking around 2 hours and one restart. No need to interact or do anything except just wait and watch the helpful messages being displayed on the screen up until successful migration completion. After that I have just replaced the HDD in the laptop with the new SSD and booted up - everything was fine and exactly like before, except faster :-) All in all, great work and great MiniTool, so thank you! ps. You guys should suggest Samsung to include your software with their disks instead of Samsung\'s own solution which simply do not work. It would help both Samsung\'s credibility and their user\'s base - a win-win :-)”

“this app caused my computer to crash when i tried to boot it. Absolutely do not run it on the partion that includes your operating system. if it tells you it has to shut down to align that partition do not do it that is when it will kill your computer. had to do a factory reset wasnt even able to load my backups.”

“Just used it to transfer from a bigger HDD to a new smaller SSD to revitalise and old and slow laptop and it worked perfectly. The help messages (i.e. rebuilding the MBR) were super helpful. ta P”
