“I started using the Mira this month to track my cycle before we try to get pregnant. I was a little disappointed at first because my LH level was not increasing but suddenly one day I saw a peak. I have learned through using Mira that my cycle is a little slower than the predicted cycle on the app (so keep testing if you don’t peak during the anticipated time). I’m hoping this knowledge will help us when we start trying”
Thanks for sharing. Our LH goes up and down very sharply. The entire surge can be done within 24 hours. Once you have a reading above your previous average reading, you might be close to ovulation, please test again after 6 hours. When you see the LH surge, you are ovulating in 12-48 hours. This is your most fertile time during a cycle, and the best opportunity if you are trying to conceive.
The prediction of the current cycle is based on the test results of your previous cycle. The ovulation day of each cycle may be different because our hormones will be influenced by the environment, stress, and pressures. So the prediction may not be accurate in every cycle.
The predicted ovulation day and fertile window cannot be removed. Because it is predicted and not actual information, it will be not factored into the algorithm to affect the accuracy of the prediction. It is more like a reference for your information.
We also recommend that you pay attention to the pattern of the curve. It is more important than the absolute value! When ovulation happens, you should see a sudden increase in LH concentrations, although the peak value can vary greatly. To clarify, even if the LH levels are relatively low, one can still be ovulating if there is a sizable increase in the LH level.
Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes it gets stuck maybe the temperature is too low or for other reasons (the same with the stuck phone), it usually can be restored by resetting and recharging. If this issue happens frequently, please kindly contact us via email at support@miracare.com. Our Technical Team would like to look into your case to troubleshoot.
“So far I have enjoyed using the Mira Fertility system. It takes the guesswork out of reading OPK strips and helps to really nail down when ovulation is actually happening.”
Glad to hear that you loving the Mira system. Mira measures hormones to detect and predict ovulation. In contrast to OPK, Mira uses lab-graded technology which gives you your actual hormone levels, while OPK only does a "one line" vs. "two lines" estimation. Mira's AI learns your cycle, providing personalized ovulation prediction even for variable cycles. Your cycle information is automatically synced and analyzed by Mira, so you don't need to do any manual charting! Other OPK's detect ovulation off a static baseline LH. But every woman is different. So, it often leads to false positives or missed peaks, especially if you have variable or irregular cycles. OPK’s also can’t learn your cycle over time.
“It’s very easy to use. I love that it gives you actual numbers of your levels of LH and E2. The only negative is that you have to use a separate stick now for Progesterone. I wish it was the same stick. Also, if you don’t open the Mira app first before you test, it doesn’t log. For example, I woke up, did the test, put the stick in the machine for 15 minutes, it gave a read out, I threw the stick away. Well I never opened the app when I did this. I assumed the unit would upload to the app. It didn’t. So it shows as a missed test.”
Thanks for sharing! Mira measures E3G levels in urine. The E3G in urine are metabolized products of the E2 in the blood, they do not share the same unit. The unit of E3G is ng/ml, the unit of E2 is pg/ml. But they share the same increase and decrease pattern.
Currently, users have to use the PdG wands separately, we have forwarded your suggestion to our supervisor. We will make our best efforts to achieve your suggestion in the future if it is possible. In this way, there will not be a mismatched reading. If you have further doubts, please kindly contact us via email at support@miracare.com.
Please turn on the Analyzer by pushing its button, open the Mira App and make sure the Analyzer and App are connected before each test (inserting the test wand into the analyzer). A "connected" indicator will be shown on the Mira App home screen beside the "Mira" logo.
