“I have PCOS and I found after taking the tests during my testing time, my predicted ovulation and scores change. While that’s super frustrating, I’ve been able to see and just focus on my peaks with the handy chart! This is my 4th cycle using Mira, so I’m hoping we won’t have to use it again!”
“Love the numbered results. Takes the question out of ovulation. I have PCOS and Endo. Standard ovulation tests are so hard for me to analyze. After 2 years of TTC I finally feel confident in my tests! Thank you!”
“This kit has been very helpful in demonstrating when my ovulation is coming and how my hormones change throughout my cycle. The chart printout with hormone concentrations function is a good way to share information with my medical provider. My biggest frustration with the kit is that the app and analyzer sync inconsistently even when the app is kept running during the analyzer’s sample processing timeframe. There is no way to manually add data from a particular test if the app fails to sync, leading to gaps in information on recommended test days and therefore undermining the accuracy of the predictive algorithm. I see this as a pretty serious downside to the system and I hope a future app update will allow for manual entry when there is a synchronization failure.”
“Mira plus starter kit has taught me how to follow my irregular cycle and has given me confidence that I may be able to conceive in the future.
I am however finding the confirm wands very troublesome and they are causing more concern than peace of mind.”
We are sorry about your experience and it is not what Mira wants you to have! PdG is generally low during the preovulatory phase; it sharply rises after ovulation and stays high until the mid-luteal phase. Generally, when urinary PdG is higher than 5μg/ml for more than 3 days, you can confirm successful ovulation. If you have further doubts, please kindly contact us via email at support@miracare.com.
“I absolutely love my Mira analyzer! I am trusting to conceivev with PCOS and Mira has given me the information I need to have important conversations with my health care providers about my treatment options.”
Thanks for your review. Many women with PCOS use Mira to track their cycles and successfully get pregnant along the way! Unlike all other OPK's, Mira lets you see your actual hormone concentrations. Those with PCOS will know that with this condition, elevated LH is common! OPK will inaccurately reflect a positive all the time. But with Mira, you can see your actual hormone levels and curve, and still see your ovulation even if your baseline LH is high.
“I am enjoying using the Mira kit so far and I am about to come to ovulation apparently so fingers crossed I will conceive. One thing I wish there could be is when you click on the chart for your readings it would be great if it would explain this is high / low / medium for the e3g as well as on the fertility confirm wands as i have no idea what these levels mean !”
Thanks for your support. As our hormone levels vary from woman to woman and cycle to cycle, it is important to keep in mind that the pattern of the curve is more important than the absolute value. When ovulation happens, you should see a sudden increase in LH concentrations, although the peak value can vary greatly. You may not have to necessarily reach "high" to ovulate. For this reason, we decided not to keep the None / Low / Medium / High feature in the new 1.3 version app.
Our E3G level fluctuates from woman to woman and cycles to cycle. Generally, it will be around 10-100 during the follicular phase and rise to 100-640+ when close to ovulation. Because of the self-regulating effect of estrogen, the rise of E3G when close to ovulation is fluctuating. The Estrogen surge is normally 1-3 days earlier than the LH one. Meanwhile, the Estrogen peak is normally 0-2 days earlier than the LH one.
After the ovulation, the E3G level will drop, and then there will be another surge in the luteal phase, which means your body is entering the non-fertile period.
